Hi! Meet Ne. Ne is pleased to meet you. She also kindly inquires if you'd like to drink some green tea with her.
First off, sorry to everyone I've been neglecting. Artistically, I had some major... something behind myself, and I'll need to get over that first... Though that shouldn't take long anymore. I really wanted the results to be the first thing to upload after the unfortunate long break, but doing that is complicated, and now there's this little picture. I'd upload it to where I put all my other stuff for the time being, but right now I'm at a PC Pool since my own computer can't connect to the internets, and I wouldn't know how to do it. So now enjoy THIS, kay?
So! Allow me to explain. As You Know, I'm at TV Tropes.org now, the forums specifically, and some crazy loon there found something called Maid RPG. An RPG where you play... meido. This is arguably the most awesome thing EVER, so he bought the thing and set up the game on the forum. First game actually kinda went down, but I'm participating in the do-over now, and this is my character. There's many mysteries surrounding her. What is she? Does she ever take off those clothes? Are those screws just for show? How does she get her hair to do that, and does she even wear panties under that apron?!
So yeah, I kinda said "good an opportunity as any to go nuts". In a way, it's a drawing that's rather unlike me, since I've been suppressing myself to only draw semi-realistically and stuff. I shouldn't do that, really. I'll find a good balance between stylization and reality. Maybe something along the lines of Welcome to the NHK or so. We'll see. I'm really proud of this picture! Inking and colouring, you'd better watch out, cos I'm comin' for you! Inking especially! This picture proved to me that, for good inking, you need to be BOLD. In both senses of the word! Have courage to draw some thick lines! I first drew the lineart with my usual thin pens, then added extra thickness to lots of places where I deemed it suitable. I think that's a direction worth pursuing. The coloring was done by having the line-art on the top layer and giving every different set of colors their own layer below so I could fine-tune everything for maximum ... something! I still need to work out some kinks, but there's something there.
So all in all: Nice!
Once I regain my internet and university stops being scary, I'll get my mind back in gear for this site, I hope. Catch ya'll later!
